Salvation
In the Bible, Jesus said there is only one way to Heaven. Jesus answered him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 (GW)
The Bible says good works cannot save you. God saved you through faith as an act of kindness. You had nothing to do with it. Being saved is a gift from God. It's not the result of anything you've done, so no one can brag about it. Ephesians 2:8-9 (GW)
Trust Jesus Christ today! Here's what you must do:
1. Admit you are a sinner.
“Because all people have sinned, they have fallen short of God's glory.” Romans 3:23 (GW)
“Sin came into the world through one person, and death came through sin. So death spread to everyone, because everyone sinned.” Romans 5:12 (GW)
“If we say, ‘We have never sinned,’ we turn God into a liar and his Word is not in us.” 1 John 1:10 (GW)
2. Be willing to turn from sin (repent).
“...But if you don't turn to God and change the way you think and act, then you, too, will all die.” Luke 13:5 (GW)
“God overlooked the times when people didn't know any better. But now he commands everyone everywhere to turn to him and change the way they think and act.” Acts 17:30 (GW)
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead.
“God loved the world this way: He gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.” John 3:16 (GW)
“Christ died for us while we were still sinners. This demonstrates God's love for us.” Romans 5:8 (GW)
“If you declare that Jesus is Lord, and believe that God brought him back to life, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 (GW)
4.Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Saviour.
“By believing you receive God's approval, and by declaring your faith you are saved.” Romans 10:10 (GW)
“So then, Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13 (GW)
What to pray:
Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour.
